A surge in consumer demand for fresh meals on the go and three consecutive years of positive same store sales have Piccadilly Restaurants, an icon of Southern-style comfort food, expanding with a new “to go” concept and a new prototype for its restaurants.
Piccadilly To Go debuts this summer in the Cordova, Tennessee, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, markets. Plans call for 1,500-2,000 square-foot locations that offer convenient call in, online and in-person ordering of freshly made classics. The items will be prepared on site and displayed behind glass. In Baton Rouge, a drive-thru window will make pick up even more convenient.
“We are positioned for growth, and the key is that we’re adapting to our guests’ needs for convenience,” says Piccadilly CEO Azam Malik. “Families want fresh, affordable, homestyle meal options, even though they don’t always have time to shop and cook.”
In addition to Piccadilly To Go, the company is set to debut a new prototype restaurant in the Baton Rouge market in late 2018. The menu will offer Piccadilly’s renowned specialties and continue with new items including healthy baked fish entrees, pork dishes, chicken with mango habanero salsa, Nashville hot chicken with fried pickles, barbecued rib tips and more.
